Where the heck am i?

Meanwhile, here I am in washington heights. My phone battery is dying and I feel like I'm on another planet. I wonder if blogging takes up much battery? Hmmm.

Anyway, the ridé wasn't so bad! Took about an hour. Now I'm on a quest to find a dominican food place to go to before re-re.

I'm blogging from a bench outside soaking some sun before it goes away!! Yay today..

I loved the weather today. The air is starting to smell like Spring is coming! You know what I mean though right? Because, it could be a warm Winter day but there's still that bite when the wind blows? Ok, ok you got it.

So I started out this morning moving my car for alternate side parking. I figured I'd just drive all the way to Brooklyn Heights to the Verizon to finalize things with my phone. One hour and 45 minutes later, I got back home [Should've taken 20 mins]. It was like an obstacle course downtown, and the dumb drivers were out in full force. I cleaned up around the house a little and kinda skimmed through the music I was supposed to sing for rehearsal this evening.

I'm back now, blogging. So now that you're up to date, I wanted to talk about a phenomenon. Some of the songs I like the most are ones that I hear in my sleep!! Does that ever happen to you?!

Today for example, I woke up at about 8am, I left BETj on all night and the first thing I heard was Robin Thicke's "Dreamworld". I was like, am I dreaming right now, this is the most amazing song ever.

Some other songs I *love* and woke up to:
1. Rehab, Amy Winehouse
2. Falling Slowly, Glen Hansard [I literally thought I dreamed this song, sounds just like the music I dream of, simple and beautiful]
3. Criminal, Fiona Apple
4. Letting the Cables Sleep, Bush

Have you experienced this phenomenon? Is it just me?? Should I have included Youtube links for these songs?! Is anyone actually reading this????

Television show LOST, how do I love thee?

....lemme count the ways! Awesome night tonight. I went to that Red Sox bar on the East side also known as Professor Thom's. I had planned to go with a few peeps but ended up with my boy Joe and his co-worker. It was super chill because we were super chill. And I ate terrible things that I don't feel bad about!

Prior to that, I taught an unruly chorus group of children from 2-330pm. They were girating and pretending to be jungle people..I don't know, I just let them do what they want. They're sweet girls though and they want to come see the opera so that's nice.

After that, on my quest to get a new blackberry, I went to 57th street just to walk back out of the store to call and order it over the phone. Even thinking about the frustration I had to deal with on that front this afternoon gives me a headache..so I won't reveal the obnoxious details. Just take my word on this one. After speaking on the phone for minutes [I was gonna say hours but that's just not true], my battery starts dying. Somehow, I stumble upon another Verizon where they let me charge my phone for a total of 5 minutes.

Then, my man Darrell called and wound up meeting Joe and I for German Rosetta stone, beef patties, social commentary, portrait viewing and existentialism [not in that order].

Today was awesome. Oh sheesh, and I forgot to mention that I may be starting a ninety day weight loss challenge. More on that when I get some more dets!!

Ok, part deux

So, I went to Verizon in Atlantic Center to replace my phone. They, of course, made up some nonsensical reason as to why they absolutely couldn't change my phone there. I'll be sending a complaint about that one for SURE.

Then I went straight to rehearsal because I thought it was going to take forever to get to 72nd st. But I got there at like, 5:07pm. I was like, am I in the Twilight Zone right now? Oh! And my bag got "randomly checked" by some police on the subway! So I guess they really DO do that! Good thing I didn't bring that pipe bomb I've been working on with me today.

Then I witnessed a car accident between a yellow cab and a van. Oops.

Then...I went to rehearsal....Finally I'm home and I just realized that I really didn't have an interesting topic for this blog! You love me anyway, it's fine.

Adventures in Babysitting

So the purpose of this blog was so I could mobile blog. Lo and behold, my trackball falls off my blackberry. nice.

Today I have a run through of the entire opera at 6, yikes!! I had elaborate plans for today.Such as, going to African Dance in the morning, library, practicing trouble spots from the opera and have some delicious pizza at City Pie. I could probably still do most of those things, BUT right now, I'm taking my little bro for lunch. He's home because he pulled something in his leg and is on crutches. Once he started blasting Michael Jackson tunes and crutch-moonwalking around my door, I told him to get dress so I could take him outside. The boy is getting stir crazy.

Man, I'm telling you, there's something goin' in the universe when my kid brother can stay home from school and think it's party time. I'd be pissing my pants if I missed this much school. Either that or I'm a dork.

Day one

Hmm soo much to write about!!

First of all, I believe that I began this whole, public web logging of one's life thing when I was leaving high school. I can't take all the credit, there were some upperclassmen that created a site insulting other people from Brooklyn Tech that was just sooooo juicy! Ah youth!

Anyway, so I was a Media major [Technites just skip this part if you remember what media is] and we learned basic html, photography and other things undeclared majors in college do haha. SO, I spent all this time making a site, like a journal part and an events page, my favorite music all that. But then I just stopped because I went to college or something.

Well, I'm back large and in charge [no pun intended ha!]. I think on some posts I'll list my day if it's particularly funny or interesting, and on some, I'll discuss my obessions. Like music I keep listening to over and over, or books that I like etc. Or whatever! I dunno!
