One Thanksgiving, I ate an entire pie.

Day Eight: 3 turn ons

I don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay let's see:

A great sense of humor! Especially a dry one that isn't too sarcastic. I don't know if that exists.

Hmm what else?

Oh! A non-judgemental outlook on others! Many of us live in glass houses so we should try not to throw any stones. If you know what I mean.

Um..wow, this is the most difficult day so far. I don't even know any other things that I like.

OH! People who can thrive in any social situation.

Sheesh...that was not easy.

Day Seven: 4 turn offs

This should be easy!

1. Ignorance: Ignorance is not bliss.

2. Blatant inappropiate behavior: Attention whores, I'm talking to you. I can't stand it when you do inapprops stuff so people will look at you. I'm not looking and now you can't be my friend.

3. General Immature deficits: I guess I could say immaturity all around. This is of course relative to one's age. I'm not gonna get all upset if a toddler can't talk to me about the meaning of the symbolism in LOST. But by the time the toddler is in Kindergarten...we better be discussing Season 3.

4. Noisy eaters: OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Deal breaker omg. Close your friggin mouth, chewy!

Day Five: 6 things I wish I'd never done

Although I tend to live my life with no regrets, I wish I had never:

Stopped taking piano lessons.
Taken out school loans in grad school.
Been afraid to learn how to swim.
Opened an account with Discover card.
Turned my nose up at reading for pleasure for so long.
Uninstalled The Sims 2 on my laptop to create more space.

Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.

Seven things that cross my mind A LOT:

One: What my husband it up to right now [I'm starting to notice a theme in these blog entries from the ten day challenge haha!]

Two: When I'm going to make it in show biz and what I'll say in my interviews

Three: What I should be having for dinner

Four: Did I forget something at home [and I normally have forgotten my keys, my phone, my wallet]

Five: Do I have enough time to finish **place procrastinating thing to do here** before I leave the house.

Six: A better way LOST could've ended, or could it have ended any better?

Seven: What would've happened if I majored in something else.

And...

I just took a look at my blog and I want to eat the screen. The music even makes it sound edible. Just sayin'.

Day Three: 8 ways to win my heart

Okay this is an interesting subject as I'm not sure what you can do as opposed to what you shouldn't do to lose my attention. I'm talking about love interests by the way haha. Well anyway, here goes nothing:

  1. Buy me flowers: not just roses, just beautiful flowers that I can put on my table...or hang around the house, or place on the coffee table.
  2. Remember various things I tell you: I like to know you're listening. I know I talk A LOT but I mean, come on, that's why you love me!!
  3. Tell me as much about yourself as I tell you about myself...but don't drone on and on without stopping like this run on sentence I just made: You gotta know when enough is enough or when you haven't said anything at all
  4.  Be supportive of my endeavors: and I'm not just talking about coming to my operas and concerts and things [although that would definitely get you into the bonus round]. I mean, come with me to a midnight release of Harry Potter related things, go with me to LOST parties, come with me to the Nintendo store...you ain't gotta like it, just LIKE that I like it. And then I'll go with you to the baseball thing.
  5. Give me my space: I'm not a clingy kinda girl so if I say I'm not feeling like hanging out, do not push the issue
  6. Have quiet confidence, there is nothing more attractive than that: If you don't know by now, I have all my bases covered in the confidence area. If you need me to validate you 24/7 [key word in that sentence is need] find someone who needs you to validate them 24/7. I'm also not an attention whore and you shouldn't be either.
  7.  Manners, intelligence, polite straightforward-ness & eloquence gets you everywhere.
  8.  Be passionate about something of substance: and I will love you for it, no matter what it is.

Day Two: Nine things about yourself

I mean, only nine????

I am a MEGA GEEK. I spent so much of my life pretending that I wasn't supremely into the sorts of things I'm into [ie. Math, PC & Video games, Books of all kinds] I could actually write nine geeky things about myself this instant. But, I digress:
  1. I was born and raised in Brooklyn but I went to private schools up until I was in the second grade. Prior to that, I had no "Brooklyn accent" and I did not use slang words. Any Brooklyn-ese that I use currently was the result of outside influences at school. But even then I didn't exactly sound like I was "from here" WHATEVER that means.
  2. I didn't listen to the mainstream radio until around nineteen ninety two. The first song I was in love with was M-E-T-H-O-D Man.
  3. I can't understand accents. At least, not at first.
  4. I'm incredibly shy. I guess I chose the right career for that whole thing huh?
  5. My middle name is Monique.
  6. I am a huge gamer. If and when I figure out how to find the time to fit it all in my life, I'm going to go back to playing all the time and wearing Mario related t-shirts
  7. The best advice I get is from my brother and he's 17 years old and I really listen to him. He's extremely wise for his age.
  8. Speaking of 17, I didn't have my first job until I was 17 [which would explain a lot of things haha]. It was at Godiva and the first thing I had to do was eat all the chocolates so I could find out which one was my favorite. Anyone else would've been overjoyed but I was around a size 2 and I did *not* like chocolate. I wasn't watching my weight or anything but it just seemed absurd to eat like 47 pieces of chocolate in a day. SO I just pretended I did and lied about which one was my favorite.
  9. I wish there were more than nine. I really like to talk about myself. But alas, here we are at the ninth and final thing about myself. So I better make it good....here it is....I was on Wheel of Fortune when I was nineteen. My friend April and I were on Best Friends week. We like to joke that we weren't really best friends back then, which is actually true, we had only met a year prior. But we were definitely good for tv. We ended up splitting nine thousand dollars.

Day One: 10 things to 10 people

  1. Cristal: It's so funny how social networking can either make you love or hate someone. But even though I follow you on like 643872 different networks, I basically love you and your style!! <3 <3
  2. Vida: You are one of the few people who read my blog! I'm glad we could stay in contact this way. You  were always one of my favorite peeps!
  3. Sophia: Don't ask me why I am randomly thinking of something to say to you but I'm totally rooting for you and your operatic career! I mean, I know I'm trying to have one too, but you're at that exciting, discovery part and I hope you never lose that excitement :]
  4. Victor: I think I'm only saying something to you because I like, *just* spoke to you a few minutes ago. You're defiinitely one of those friends that I don't have to speak to on a regular basis and we chat it up like we just pressed pause on our last convo. That is a rare gem of a personality trait, my friend, and I do appreciate you and your CRAZY ASS.
  5. Xzavier: I know we have JUST been reunited in the cyber realm but I feel like we we started a really excellent friendship back in the day and we should probably get it to the extravaganza level.
  6. Gramma: You were one classy dame. Tell Bambi that my new cat Isis is almost as amazing as she was.
  7. Jessica: That was really nice of you to tell me about alternate side parking that day. And not just that, I mean, like all the other thoughtful things you hit me up about are nice too.You pay attention to me! That is the most important part of life. Paying attention to ME.
  8. Terell: I always spell your name wrong. And you're a great guy. For realz.
  9. Kelis: Your milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and you are my idol.
  10. Future husband: Wow, you are more handsome than I expected! ;]

He did the Monster Mash!

Omg hello.

Where do I even begin? Oh, maybe I should look and see the last post I made to make sure I don't repeat myself brb.

Oh okay, you're basically caught up. I just finished that opera I was telling you about. It was super cool! I made so many new friends and have a new found love for operetta. The apartment is coming along nicely although it's taking a little longer than I was hoping for it to start looking really amazing.

Hmm, guess that's it? I have a job interview on Friday that I hope to God I get for various reasons. Will definitely keep you posted on that. I'm also going to stop neglecting this blog. I love this blog so much! I've just been super humanly busy, working on another blog, reading, singing, living life and alphabetizing [well, not really...just seemed like the next logical thing to say]

I think I'm also going to go back to the gym on a regular basis, what?!

Thanks for reading xo
