Hello my baby hello my honey

This picture is from right after my birthday. I took my new Pink Netbook for a test drive at the cafe around the corner from my house. The juice was delicious (Fresh squeezed lemonade w/watermelon) but the internet wasn't working.

And normally that's what I wouldve been doing today. Drinking lemonade and shootin' the breeze outside. Instead, I was at work. Bittersweet end to the Summer I s'pose: I'm making some money but I can't hang on the beach for the last of the 90 degree weather. Bummer!!

Hmm, what else...OH! So I had work, I looked really nice because I was going to the opera tonight (Saw Doctor Atomic O-M-freaking G!). For lunch, I sat in the glorious heat in front of Macy*s like a damn tourist (there's a seating area there now..Bloomberg...), caught up w/some friends (Darrell and Melissa) and ran a mile at the gym (after work, not during lunch).

Today was cool! Looking forward to tomorrow!

xo :)

Heyyy

So anyway. I got a job. And I really want to blog and tweet about but I do not want to get fired. So I'm just saying I got a temp job until October, which is the best news ever.

Along with that, I have been in production for Madama Butterfly with Bleecker Street Opera for the past week. So I've been pulling 13 hours days for a whole week. I haven't been able to read as much as I'd like or blog for that matter!! But here I am folks. And I got nothing to say really. Hehe!

No diggity, no doubt.

I was on the train today and I sat in  a very available, very obvious spot between these two men. One had no pigment on his hands (like that would make me not want to sit next to him) and the other was bopping really hard to his ipod touch.

We go about 3,4 stops and Ipod touch man jumps up to get off the train but yells SHIT!! when he realizes that it wasn't his stop. Then he sits back down next to me and starts singing No Diggity by Blackstreet. Not quietly, not to himself, but really singing. The way you would if you were in your house by yourself, or at karaoke, or driving in your car. He even choreographed when he was going to stomp his foot or point at people on certain parts. Did I mention that I was sitting right next to him? I just tried to read my book.

Everyone seemed to think that he was about to murder us all. I, on the otherhand, was glad that he was singing. And just having a good time. The only thing that really annoyed me was that he was singing the wrong words. If you're going to be a psycho singer, at least sing the correct lyrics.

grammar. opera. job.

I went to the library last night. I ended up taking out way too many books, but stopped myself when I saw that I could've taken out even more than way too many books. I've been going when it's close to closing , mostly so that I don't spend my entire day there. There's just something about books man!! Or um, there are something about books? Wait, which noun is the verb modifying in that sentence? Oh, "something" not "books", duh.

Tomorrow starts the Tech Week for the production of Madam Butterfly that I'm in with Bleecker Street Opera. This has totally snuck up on me so I need to make sure I have everything that I need for the next week!

My temp job is ending here at the downtown law firm and I'm okay with that. I think it's made me realize how much free time I have when I'm not working, and how excellently I can carve that time up into getting things done. So while I'm obviously thankful for the opportunities I've been getting to make some money, I'm also thankful for the time I have off to do what I need to do!

Yesterday

Yesterday I went to work (temp job that will be over tomorrow probably) and then I visited my friend and his new baby. I went with a mutual friend of ours and we got cupcakes from a local bakery in Forest Hills. The only thing was...there was a fly inside the showcase. We tried to tell the woman but she just kept on asking us which cupcakes we wanted. Bleh.

I ate the ones we bought anyway because I'm certain that there have been flies inside of plenty of showcases in plenty of cupcake stores.

In other news, the more I look at the new background for this blog, the more I want to eat my computer screen.

WHAT???

I have severely neglected this blog because, this is my 100th blog post! I wanted to write about something really really important like, My Birthday or the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Actually, those were the two things.

You see, I misplaced the cord to charge my camera. My camera has the most brillant and satisfying pictures of my trip to Florida, as well as exciting video clips. I was going to post all these things and more until the battery died ::insert that music that plays when something bad happens it's kinda like a horn and it goes down chromatically, you know what i mean?::

So my friends, if you're still reading at this point, my 100th blog entry will go down in history as an apology for not writing in over a month. On the bright side, I will give you a quick update on things:
a. I started a book blog about...BOOKS. I just love it. I love it like I love apple pie a la mode.
b. I have a temp gig that I'm at right now.
c. I'm singing with this cool company Bleecker St. Opera (we're in production for Madam Butterfly right now)
d. I had an excellent birthday and am planning to have a birthday party for my cat, Isis. She would like to invite all of you but I told her we can't have too many people.

:)
