Today should be good.

I've been going to this awesome Vinyasa Yoga Class every Tuesday, except for last Tuesday because it was freezing outside and my car doesn't work to drive there. And there was no way in hell I was going to walk there. But tonight, I'm going to get there somehow.

It's funny to not have a set schedule. You would think that would give you time to think and whatnot, but it's actually kinda odd. For example, I can job hunt for a few hours, but which hours? I could also go workout, but I can go any time I want. If I had something to do between the hours of...oh let's say...I dunno...nine to five...then I'd be able to say okay this is when I workout, this is when I blog, this is when I play video games. You know what I mean?!?!

Questions:

1.  How do you order your steak?
Well done!! Mmmm steak.

2.  Are you superstitious about anything?
Omg , I feel like it should be, "Are you not superstitious about anything?!" Seriously though, I'm getting a lot better about it. My entire household was extremely superstitious.

• I didn't step on cracks, 
• I didn't [and still don't] walk underneath ladders, 
• didn't kill spiders no matter how terrifying they were 
• didn't put my hat on a bed, if I did, I would shake out the bad luck [still do that]
• and I definitely didn't say something negative about something or someone for fear that it will happen

There are plenty of superstitions I have to this day. Two of the most neurotic are that I will throw salt over my shoulder when I knock it over, or I will yell "omg throw it over your shoulder, throw it over your shoulder!!!!!!!!" and I do not say "Thank you" when someone finishes washing my hair. I say "I appreciate it". I think that's some old Southern thing from my family. 

3.  Who is your best friend (not including your spouse)? Oh I don't know, I would imagine that if I had a spouse, he'd be my best friend for sure. But I guess my best friend is my brother.

4.  When is the last time your wore a dress (for the guys...a suit)? Definitely wore a dress on Wednesday and if it were warmer, I'd be wearing a dress right now.

5.  Do you have any trips scheduled? In my mind, I'm on my way back to Orlando to go to Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I'm also planning to go to LA. These are things that I did this year that I must do again next year.

Substitute Teachers License

Before my phone completely stopped working, I planned on blogging about the very complex process of becoming a Substitute Teacher in NYC nowadays.

So, since 2008, I've been trying to get my Sub license. At first all I needed was a Physical, 2 Recommendations, My transcripts and some other stuff. Although those aren't things you can just pick up, I got all those things. Then I needed to get my fingerprints. That costs like one million dollars but I got those. So now what? Well, now two years later, you need a principal to nominate you to sub in their school. WHO KnOWS PRInCIPALS?! Actually, my mom does. She got me the nomination. Fast forward to last Tuesday when I got called in for the Sub accessment. We found out that there are many many other steps involved before we can be considered to be subs. Ie:

• Taking a 5 course class online
• Getting a TB test and a physical
• Registering for the LAST exam
• Fingerprints
• 2 workshops
• Give them all your eyelashes and name your first three children after them

A long time ago all you had to do was be an adult to be a sub. Right? Because there was no way in hell the people who were subs for my classes had bachelor's degrees and passed exams and things. Wtf dude!!

Oh brother, where art thou?

This post isn't going to be out that movie, although I wish I knew where it was in my house so I can watch it. My actual brother and I have a lot of quotes we like to repeat from there. Like "HOT Damn! It's the Soggybottom Boys!" or "Dem boys ain't white, hell, they ain't even Old timey!"....ok well, maybe I just like to say that one.

Anyway, my life is so weird right now. I looked back on some of my posts from like a year & a half ago and I was so carefree. Going to Prof. Thom's gorging myself with food and paying for things I didn't need. I was also running my car into the ground and receiving tickets left and right [as pictured above]. And now I have to pay rent, pay various bills, pay those tickets off, buy Christmas presents and find a job. I need to all of those things right this second. So it's weird. I dunno, like I'm an actual adult or something.

I mean, whatever, you know. Hopefully I'll look back at this post a year and a half from now like, "I am a rich person now!"

A very merry unbirthday...to me?: Episode 7: Pillsbury cares about me.

I got an email yesterday afternoon from Pillsbury giving me all these birthday coupons, a sweepstakes and this video with the Pillsbury Dough boy dancing  .Last time I checked, my birthday was in July, but I mean, it's never too late to give me a birthday presents.

Then I got an apology email the same night saying:

We inadvertently sent you a birthday wish email when it's not your birthday.

Cirque du Soleil WINTUK!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't get a chance to blog about this on the day that it happened because I was doing the Ten Day Challenge.

This past Friday, my friend Tanira and I went to see Cirque du Soleil's Wintuk! I got to meet her super cool friends and we also got unlimited supplies of free popcorn. What more could a girl ask for?! But let me backtrack. ::flashback music plays::

Tanira & I are buds because of our mutual friend Angie. Angie moved to RI and Tanira is back in the city. So she friend-jacked me and we do various activities. We started the night at the Disney Store where Tanira proceeded to put every Mickey Mouse hat on her head [and looked super cute while doing so might I add]. We were probably the most excited adults in the store that bring children with us. Then we fought through the insane tourists that I hate and had dinner at Cosi. It was her first time there and I was nervous that she wouldn't like it. Okay so then Wintuk happened and lemme tell ya, it's definitely visually stunning & there are live musicians in these little cages in the air House Left & House Right. I kept looking at them, because well, you know.

Then all this funny & scary stuff happened and it snowed on us inside the theater. Spoiler alert! Oh wait, I should've said that before I mentioned the snow. But I mean come on, when you go, it's really obvious that it's going to snow somehow. I didn't ruin anything sheesh!

You know you're addicted to blogging when...

I had a dream that I was looking through my blog archives to see if I blogged about my second appearance on Wheel of Fortune [there was no second appearance].

I thought to myself during the dream "Wow, I can't believe I didn't blog about that!".

Then I had one of those flashbacks that you only have when you dream...you know the ones I mean...one minute you're walking down the street the next minute you're flying in an airplane. So anyway, the flashback was of me on Wheel of Fortune again at the rehearsal before the show. But apparently it was some benefit for Pat Sajak who was related to Popeye the cartoon character. We had the celebratory dinner that was sponsored by Popeyes the chicken place and I had probably the most delicious dream biscuit I have ever eaten in my entire life...er..dreams?
