I mean,
only nine????

I am a MEGA GEEK. I spent so much of my life pretending that I wasn't supremely into the sorts of things I'm into [ie. Math, PC & Video games, Books of all kinds] I could actually write nine geeky things about myself this instant. But, I digress:

- I was born and raised in Brooklyn but I went to private schools up until I was in the second grade. Prior to that, I had no "Brooklyn accent" and I did not use slang words. Any Brooklyn-ese that I use currently was the result of outside influences at school. But even then I didn't exactly sound like I was "from here" WHATEVER that means.
- I didn't listen to the mainstream radio until around nineteen ninety two. The first song I was in love with was M-E-T-H-O-D Man.
- I can't understand accents. At least, not at first.
- I'm incredibly shy. I guess I chose the right career for that whole thing huh?
- My middle name is Monique.
- I am a huge gamer. If and when I figure out how to find the time to fit it all in my life, I'm going to go back to playing all the time and wearing Mario related t-shirts
- The best advice I get is from my brother and he's 17 years old and I really listen to him. He's extremely wise for his age.
- Speaking of 17, I didn't have my first job until I was 17 [which would explain a lot of things haha]. It was at Godiva and the first thing I had to do was eat all the chocolates so I could find out which one was my favorite. Anyone else would've been overjoyed but I was around a size 2 and I did *not* like chocolate. I wasn't watching my weight or anything but it just seemed absurd to eat like 47 pieces of chocolate in a day. SO I just pretended I did and lied about which one was my favorite.
- I wish there were more than nine. I really like to talk about myself. But alas, here we are at the ninth and final thing about myself. So I better make it good....here it is....I was on Wheel of Fortune when I was nineteen. My friend April and I were on Best Friends week. We like to joke that we weren't really best friends back then, which is actually true, we had only met a year prior. But we were definitely good for tv. We ended up splitting nine thousand dollars.
