Marathon

Today was the longest day ever.

The Census job is over but there are some last minute cases for us to complete. So I had to go and do those in addition to pick up my final check from my other former job. Then I needed to go house/cat sit for some of my friends over in Flatbush...actually, I'm not sure what that neighborhood is called. I also wanted to round out the night by checking out my friend Akie perform with his band. Suprisingly I did all those things. Not without obstacles though.

My car broke down on Classon and Willoughby Street and I had my mom drive over to meet me just in case it broke down again when I drove back home. I had her drive me to the area I had to do my Census taking in, took the train straight to my cat-sitting gig only to discover that I didn't have the proper keys for their house. But the neighbor had the keys.

Finally I got my mom to take me to the train and I caught the very end of Akie's set and hung out with the band and friends. Now I'm on the train going home and I think I just stepped into a musical. This woman is playing guitar and singing pretty well, then this grou of girls started singing along and dancing. And then the people on the train clapped. Okay goodnight.
