You have GOT to be kidding me!

I haven't posted in a while. I planned on blogging each day that I was in Orlando for the *ahem* GRAND OPENING of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. But I left my phone in my friend's car in NY. There was computer access at the hotel and I was able to send out a few emails here and there, but no access to cool sites. I'll save my HP park review for when I upload my photos.

Some of the funny things that have been happening since then are: I've been singing in some capacity everyday this week (well, actually that's not funny, that's great!) , I've been job hunting like mad (not funny either, that's actually not very exciting) and my birthday is coming up!! Okay so, none of those things were funny but you get the idea.

On Saturday, I was in the park with my friend on a picnic. This young fellow happens past us and asks if he can talk to us. He had some flyers in his hand so I was thinking "NO, I don't want to go to your party dude" But he assures us that this discussion won't require us giving him money. He proceeds to tell my friend and I that he's doing a campaign to save the horses who are hitched onto the carriages in Central Park. It was random but sad. I think it's well known that those horses aren't treated very well so we signed his petition. I also signed for my brother because he's always talking about horses and wants to be a zoologist. The interesting part of this story is that after we were done signing everything, the fellow tells us about how he likes his job but wishes people weren't so mean to him. He wasn't crazy or anything, he was clearly a young guy (no older than 18 or 19) who doesn't get to talk to people enough. He also said that he hopes to make enough money so he could buy some braces to fix his teeth since he likes smiling. He mentioned that we had nice teeth. I don't ever open my mouth wide enough for people to notice my bizarro teeth but I accepted the compliment and told him his teeth weren't so bad.

xoxo!!
