So the concert happened.

It went really, really well. My voice worked enough for me to get through it without sounding like a loser. And there were people there!! Beside the ones I invited, a lot of people I don't know came up to me to compliment my voice which is ALWAYS fantastic. But I'm going to blog about the events surrounding the concert.

Went to get my hair done and was finished in record time. When i got home, I got ready and realized that I had no idea where my dress was. I wanted to wear this purple long sleeve one, in honor of Valentine's day you know. So I ended up wearing this lacey black dress which is probably the better of the two dresses.

I made it to the train and decided to put my make-up on while there. So I'm in the middle of putting on my liquid foundation and this guy asks me where he can get the A train. I told him to take the C down to Jay Street and just switch over. And he's like "Oh yeah because I need the J train anyway so that's good". If you're from Brooklyn, you might know that you do not catch the J train at Jay Street. This is not, like, Sesame Street, or something. Another girl is sitting next to me and she's like: Yeah, take this train to 14th Street and you can get on there. What? That's completely not true. I'm getting really upset now because I don't want this guy to get lost and I want this girl to mind her business. He finally tells us he wants to go to Broadway Junction...which is in the opposite direction. I say, you have to go to the other side, then, nosy bad directions girl literally yells over me: no, you gonna have to pay another fare if you go to the other side, take this train to West 4th street then you can go back. WTF is she talking about??? Meanwhile, I've got brownish liquid foundation on my index finger and I'm getting on a crowded train. This one dude on the train kept looking at my finger like...what...does she have on her hand?

Ugh, so, I dunno. It must be a 'nice native new yorker' thing [if that exists] but, I just couldn't get over the fact that this guy could not be going in a wronger direction. Maybe it was supposed to happen this way though. Maybe he needed to be hours late to where he was going to avoid some catastrophe. You know, destiny and all that. I finally made it to the concert and realized that I forgot to bring tights and lipstick. At that point, I was just like whatever no one cares about my legs or my makeup.

The concert happened, hooray for me and everyone!!! People from High School were there, shoutout to Raymond, Alissa and Bettie!! Oh and Howard, but I don't think I went to highschool with him. And everyone else I left out! Yay! Then we went to dinner, and I came home!
