So, Valentine's Day is tomorrow! YAY!
What's the big deal about hating this holiday?? Once we've gotten over the initial "you should show your love for your significant other everyday" & "this is an American holiday to promote Consumerism" & "no one ever buys me things so I'm sad but I'm going to pretend I'm mad about this" nonsense...then we can get to the heart [hehe pun intended!!] of the matter!
Listen, you all know me. I'm a sucker for the colors pink and red, I like heart shapes and glittery things and um, hello, chocolate is delicious. Oh wait! And I LOVE PRETTY FLOWERS. So you add all that up and guess what folks, this is my favorite holiday. Beside, of course, the entire Christmas season, My Birthday and Halloween.
I've had some pretty amazing Valentine's Days already. I mean as far back as I can remember, they were awesome. Besides, you don't need to be with someone to enjoy the holiday. Last year for example, I went to the movies with one of my girlfriends! We saw "He's Just not that Into" I'm not a chick-flick kinda girl but I can do one per year. Anyway, it was super fun! The year before that, I threw a cutie party at my house with delicious Valentine's Day inspired treats! I mean c'mon!
The moral of the story is: you don't have to like the holiday, but don't rain on everyone else's parade who does!xoxo
