Fun Fridays

Here's what I was going to do today: Go the a hot yoga class and completely sweat my hair out, then get my hair done, apply for some jobs and go to the opera.

What I actually did was go to the library and the opera. I have this habit of allowing things to change my daily plans. Sometimes it's cool, like yesterday. Sharde needed to look for a dress to sing and I honestly can't say no when people want to look for dresses, because, I mean...I love dresses and I just might find one for myself!

And today. Ash and I had breakfast/lunch, or brunch, as they say and caught up. Then, I finally, amazingly got my little bro Billy to go to the friggin library with me today!! I lured him by saying I'd buy him pizza or thai food from his favorite place. We ate first and then went to the library. To my astonishment, he agreed to take out Lemony Snicket's Horseradish and other bitter truths you can't avoid. He even read the first few pages aloud at the library! I know this may sound uninteresting to many of you but I've been trying to get the boy to read for years now.

Before heading out to the Opera to see my friend Allison perform Dido and Aeneas, my dad came home and said they were completely sold out of The Sims 3. I was a little bummed but I knew he tried and totally wasn't expecting him to go get it in the first place. Then my brother walks in the livingroom and is like:
"Dad, what's that in the best buy bag?" long pause...
"Oh, I thought you said they were sold out of the game" some barely audible shush sounds from my Dad...
"But Dad, that's The Sims in your bag right there, for Toya, I thought you said they were...oh".

Yep, he was trying to fool me so I'd be excited and surprised when I saw that he was kidding and my lil bro was ruining the surprise with his lil brother-ness. Way to go brother.

So here I am, home finally, almost at the crack of dawn, installing The Sims on my computer.

eeep!!! op ork ah-ah!

HAHa Bobo, way to stay on top of me!

YEAH Vida, it's called Hot Yoga at Crunch but the real name is Bikram Yoga...but you can't call it that unless the dude Bikram is there or something. They literally turn up the heat while you're posing. It's pretty much the most amazing thing ever lol.
