This post is for Friday

I know today is Tuesday but for some reason, throughout my insane life, I didn't get a chance to sit down and blog.

So I wake up on Friday with a number of tasks. One of which was to get a cavity filled at the dentist. I canceled however because after the crappy job they did at giving me a cleaning and taking my X-ray, I'm horrified to think of what they will do with a needle and a drill. But before that ladies and gentleman, I get to my non-operational car to move it for alternate side, and I find this note. Looks like it says "L2 park, be more considerate next time" I thought they wanted to abbreviate learn because the word is too long..or something? Or they're illustrating how close I parked to the other car with that L. Oh I'm sorry out-of-towner, but it's called parallel parking and if you can't get out of a tight spot then either throw away your car or get the @*&^* out of nyc. The nerve of this person.

So in the interest of saving gas/my car not working/going green/being poor, I decided to walk just about everywhere I needed to go that day. I met people along the way but none whom were very blogworthy. Except maybe a guy with a folded shopping cart who told me to tie my shoelaces before we crossed Atlantic ave. He was just lookin' out for me. Sometimes it's nice to be nice in this town. We had an interesting convo about gentrification and the new stadium being built. He also told me he was taking free computer classes in September and that he had to move out his house of nine years because they raised his rent astronomically higher than it had ever been. Sheesh!

After all that exercise walking, I ate some of this. Oops. Haha it's all good, sometimes you gotta have some Tartufo!
